Washington-Congress is already anticipating a request for supplemental Fiscal 1969 defense funds next January. House Appropriations Committee, in approving a $72.2-billion Fiscal 1969 budget for the Defense Dept, (AW&ST July 22, p. 15), said the request is probable if the Vietnam war continues at its present level.
