Bert Acosta Joins Naval Reserve Force—Bert Acosta, one of the most experienced pilots in American aviation was sworn in as a lieutenant in the U. S. Naval Reserve Force at the Navy Department on Sept. 8. Acosta is reckoned as one of the pioneers in American aeronautics having first learned to fly in San Diego, Calif., in 1910.
