THE ANNUAL REPORT of the secretary of the Navy gives certain official statements regarding aeronautical events of the past year which are of the greatest interest. They will be found below: The “Shenandoah” The Shenandoah was ready for this flight early in July, but after conferences with the Bureau of Aeronautics, and the commanding officer of the Shenandoah and upon the latter’s recommendation the midwestern trip was postponed, so that during July and August she could operate with the fleet, which she did.
