Para-sail Drop Tests with Full-scale Gemini Capsules Due

Drop tests next month of a 69.7-ft.dia. Para-Sail may lead to manned qualification of the parachute system, which is being evaluated by National Aeronautics and Space Administration for use in controlled spacecraft landings. Five consecutive successful drop tests have been conducted with a larger ParaSail carrying a full-scale Gemini boilerplate model.
