Zero-g Liquid Gage Based on Absorption of Infrared Radiation By Gases

Tarrytown, N. Y.—Ability of some gases to absorb infrared radiation is the basis of a relatively simple device for determining the amount of liquid in a tank during zero-gravity conditions in space. The device, which was developed here by Simmonds Precision Products, Inc., is called a Molimetric liquid gaging system.
