Modestly improving profit margins on sales for predominantly aerospace companies are shown in a new tabulation of a broad group with widely ranging interests in the field. Profits of predominantly-aerospace companies often show significant increases though sales declined, either the result of growing commercial business, use of incentive-type contracts, or improved cost control.

Ft. Worth—New high-speed, two-place, heavily armed version of the UH-1B Iroquois troop-carrying helicopter has been proposed to the Army by Bell Helicopter Co. for aerial fire support missions in Vietnam. The Model 209, called the HueyCobra by Bell, started its flight test program here Sept. 7.
