Goleta, Calif.—Development of a heavy-lift, semi-lighter-than-air vehicle called the Megalifter, has been proposed to National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s Ames Research Center in response to the center’s call for ideas on the feasibility of using lighter-than-air technology to meet future U. S. large cargo transportation requirements.

Stratford, Conn.—Major new export drive for the S-67 Blackhawk attack helicopter has been launched by Sikorsky Div. of United Aircraft Corp.
