Culver City, Calif.—Extensive combat operational experience that Hughes Helicopters gained in South Vietnam with its OH-6 light observation helicopter (LOH) has been applied to the company’s YAH64 advanced attack helicopter (AAH) design in an effort to achieve maximum nap-of-the-earth agility, which program officials believe is essential for survival in the battlefield environment of the 1980s.
