Tucson—Gates Learjet’s new Model 55 is a melding of a larger diameter cabin than in the company’s earlier models, with the fuel economy and performance of Learjet’s Model 35A. The Model 55 represents an evolutionary approach by Gates Learjet to meet operator suggestions on its existing line of corporate aircraft while retaining the positive attributes.
