St. Louis—The first private industrial payload specialist astronaut to fly in space, Charles D. Walker, of McDonnell Douglas, will manage 80 hr. of biological processing work on the orbiter Discovery's first flight. National Aeronautics and Space Administration will bill McDonnell Douglas about $80,000 for Walker's preflight shuttle training.
