Navy, Lockheed Planning Extension Of P-7 A Development Program

WASHINGTON U. S. Navy and Lockheed P-7A program officials are developing a recovery plan for the new antisubmarine warfare aircraft that would extend fullscale development by two years. The restructuring plan, which is to be reviewed by senior Navy officials this week, would delay first flight of the aircraft by 12-18 months, from December, 1991, until early 1993.
