International Participation Boosts Air Show Canada
SAN FRANCISCO Organizers of this week’s Airshow Canada are encouraged by a hefty increase in international participation and the expected presence of top-line U. S. and Soviet fighter aircraft and the Canadair Regional Jet. The number of exhibitors booked for the event, scheduled for Aug. 7-11 at Abbotsford, B. C, had reached more than 360 a week before the show, compared with about 200 in the first Airshow Canada in 1989 (AW&ST Aug. 21, 1989, p. 30). More than 60 nations are expected to be represented, compared with 40 in 1989.
