WASHINGTON The U. S. will share data informally with Russia about a series of metal spheres to be deployed this week from the space shuttle—information that could be useful to ballistic missile defense systems. One reason the exchange may remain informal, however, is that the Russians may not want to reveal deficiencies of their space surveillance radars.
