Shuttle Mission Evas to Demonstrate Space Station Assembly Techniques

Washington—The first assembly of large Structures in space by astronauts working outside their vehicle—a key demonstration for space station development—is set for shuttle Mission 61-B, scheduled for night launch Nov. 26. During the eight-day flight, the crew also will conduct other tests applicable to station operations as well as deploy three communications satellites.
