WASHINGTON The first flight tests of a Soviet manned maneuvering unit (MMU) have been completed using conservative procedures that kept the cosmonauts piloting the unit tethered to the Mir space station. Cosmonaut Alexander Serebrov piloted the Soviet MMU on four flights away and back to the station during a 5-hr.
